About Me
I am a mystic-philosopher and devote my life to living and communicating the Truth. In addition to elaborating on my own Dharma, I enjoy analyzing other ones and presenting my unique and penetrating insights in a clear and engaging manner. I’m not shy about expressing my opinions, and for a taste of them, check out my Amazon.com book reviews. As you’ll quickly see, Dale Carnegie I ain’t.
Prior to launching my writing career at the age of sixty, I was self-employed in various capacities, including astrologer-counselor, computer consultant, and sportsbetting arbitrager.
I have a B.A in sociology from the University of California, San Diego, and my interest in political and social philosophy (I studied Marxism under the iconic Herbert Marcuse at UCSD) is evident in my writings. I am an unabashed Ron Paul Revolution fan and quasi-Objectivist/libertarian, and delight in intellectually carving up and spitting out statists and “integral” globalists.
I’m an expert in both the theory and practice of the foremost spiritual traditions—Theravada, Zen, and Tibetan Buddhism; Hindu Raja Yoga, Advaita Vedanta, and Kashmir Shaivism; Daism (the teachings of Adi Da); Christian mysticism; and Kabbalah—and my expertise in these and other teachings enables me to compose leading-edge spiritual literature.
Apart from mysticism, philosophy, and writing, I enjoy travel, tennis, fine dining, and the beach. Born in 1951, I am heterosexual and a confirmed bachelor.
