Electrical Kundalini, Part 2

by L. Ron Gardner

[Note: This is an excerpt from my book "Electrical Christianity: A Revolutionary Guide to Jesus' Teachings and Spiritual Enlightenment."]

Q: Can you explain the entire electrical en-Light-enment process relative to the body? You’ve described the descending and ascending currents, but I’m still not clear on how they relate to Light. All you’ve talked about are currents.

A: Again, this is provisional and basic, not definitive and detailed. It’s based on my own spiritual experience, what I’ve read, and speculation. In the future, I expect great yogi-scientists to devote their lives to demystifying the physics and superphysics involved in the “en-Light-enment of the whole body” process. But for now, I hope my undeveloped thesis proves somewhat “enlightening.”

When I view the body from an electrical spiritual perspective, I think of the Heart-center (or Soul-locus) as the source, or “battery,” of a circuit, with the ascending and descending currents passing through, and infinitely beyond, the brain. The brain/mind functions as a “load” (a psycho-physical mechanism of resistance) that obstructs the circuit’s current flow, causing the buildup of tension or pressure in the head and neck that advanced meditators typically experience. In an en-Light-ened being, the brain/mind “load” has been sufficiently altered or reduced, so as to allow the brain to function like a super light bulb, which emits a nimbus of light, or halo, which “hovers” above the crown.

Now a caveat: Even if this “battery model” is a reasonable facsimile of the Soul-Spirit nexus in a human being, an important distinction between the two must be made: Unlike the “battery model,” the human Soul-Spirit is conscient and sentient; it is a knowing and feeling “entity.” In other words, en-Light-enment of the bodymind can never be reduced to a “mechanical” or “scientific” description, no matter how accurate and elegant it may be.

Q: When you talk about the brain/mind being a “mechanism of resistance,” are you saying that thoughts impede the flow of the current through the brain?

A: That is correct. Thoughts modify and “shrink” consciousness, contracting it into a series of limited and bound states of consciousness. When consciousness (or voltage) is contracted, so is the current (or amperage). But you’re barking up the wrong tree if you try to stop thinking. The point of real spiritual life is to outshine thoughts, not suppress them. The Light irradiates them before they can “shrink” your consciousness.

Now I’ll answer your question about Light. The Spirit-current, like an electric current, produces a magnetic force field encircling it. In the case of the Spirit-current, the magnetic force field is called Presence or Light. The ancients knew about this Spirit-current and its correlation with the radiant, magnetic force field surrounding it, but because electricity had not yet been discovered, they had no way to explain it from a scientific perspective. One of the best allusions to this Spirit-Light relationship can be found in the Gnostic text The Secret Book of John (translated by Stevan Davies):

“The Father looked into Barbelo [the pure Light surrounding the Invisible Spirit]… He stood in the Spirit’s presence, and it was poured upon him.”

Q: Does the magnetic force field surrounding the Spirit-current come into play in a disciple’s initiation?

A: Yes, it does. It’s really a form of induction when a disciple enters the force field of a spiritual master. In such a charged space, the spiritual “transmission,” or initiation, can take place with just a glance or a touch from the master. And if the disciple has already been initiated, the master’s presence serves to intensify his Shakti flow. For those interested in more information on the subject of spiritual induction, I recommend the book Pathways Through to Space, by Franklin Merrell-Wolff (1887-1985).

Q: If the Heart-center is like a battery, then it sounds like a Shaktipat guru’s functions can be likened to jumper cables, an outside power source that gets one’s “spiritual engine” started.

A: Good analogy. Just as it takes a threshold energy level to start a car, likewise it takes one to start one’s spiritual life. When sufficient conscious force, either self-generated or guru-generated, is applied by, or to, an aspirant, then he is initiated by the Spirit. He becomes an empowered disciple, one who practices the Eucharistic discipline of Spirit Communion.

Jesus baptized his disciples with the power and presence of the Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost; hence, he was called a pneumatic. But if Jesus were alive today, my guess is he would be referred to as a spiritual electrician, a divine Potentate, who, via his Shakti, “jump-starts,” or baptizes, spiritual aspirants, thereby converting them to “true believers,” initiated conductors of the Holy Spirit-current.

Mr. Gardner,

I read quite a lot of your articles. You are way up for my standards, I have to concede. I wonder why the cockroach ca_cicero and supercilious Green never give you due credit for your advanced spiritual knowledge and practice. No wonder majority of people don’t understand you at all because they are not only ignorant but also downright arrogant and post ad-hominem comments out of hate and jealousy.

IJ, I’m glad that you were open-minded enough to eventually acknowledge and appreciate my spiritual knowledge and ability to communicate it. I think you’re right about the ignorance and jealousy. I wish there were others providing the type of insights I do, but I can’t find any peers. But if I can live another ten years or more–I’m 67 now–and write/publish several more books (along with doing YouTube videos), I believe that I’ll receive “due credit” for my work.
