Update on My Forthcoming Zen Book

by L. Ron Gardner

I finished writing and editing this book 3 months ago. I had a cover done, and then, through Fiverr, paid a person to lay out the manuscript for publication. But that person, and two others I tried thereafter, failed to properly get the job done. In the meantime, I finished putting together (but not editing) my ebook "Buddhist Book Reviews for Smarties." So my plan now is to finish editing "Buddhist Book Reviews for Smarties," publish it as a Kindle ebook, then devote myself to getting my Zen book (which will be a paperback as well as a Kindle) ready for publishing, then published.

Getting "Buddhist Book Reviews" published first makes sense, because the book contains reviews of books I refer to in my Zen book (and my forthcoming Dzogchen book). Once I find a competent, reasonably priced lay-out person for my Zen book, I can then have this person also lay out my Dzogchen book, which like my Zen book, I've finished writing and editing.

I’ve finished my Dzogchen book, and I plan to publish it shortly after I publish my Zen book, which I hope to publish before the end of October.

I read in your older posts, that you planned to publish a mediation guide..”The power of now meditation guide”, unfortunately I am unable to find it on Amazon, has it not been published yet?.

Raj, I finished this book in 2019, but have not got around to publishing it. I plan to publish it in 2022.

Hi Mr Gardner.. In multiple places in the Integral Meditation blog, you refer to relationship avoidance by Adi Da.. Can you please tell me where can I learn more about it, any specific book?.

Raj, read Adi Da’s first two books: “The Knee of Listening and “The Method of the Siddhas.”

Hi Ron! I really enjoy your reviews, website and blog – thanks for your work. Any more updates on timing for the next book? Are you still planning to release the ones on Buddhist book reviews, Zen and Dzogchen, and in that order? I’m especially keen for the Dzogchen book, but any update you can provide on any of them would be terrific.

Many thanks, SF

Soyuno, thank you for the positive feedback.”Buddhist Book Reviews for Smarties” is almost done being formatted (it has taken over a month),and it will be published as a Kindle ebook very soon (hopefully next week). If someone wants me to also publish it as a paperback, pony up $250 to cover the cost, and I will do so. As soon as “Buddhist Book Reviews for Smarties” is published. I’ll again (for the 4th time) enlist a formatter at Fiverr.com and attempt to have it properly laid out. If this is accomplished, I’ll be able to publish it (both in Kindle and paperback) in December. As soon as that is accomplished, I’ll have “Radical Dzogchen formatted, and publish it (hopefully in January).
